David Marsh Funiture is made of pondersosa pine and salvaged material. David uses broomstick handles, teak slats from motorcycles crates, cedar fencing, and recycled adornments to complete his original pieces. The furniture's finish requires up to eight different applications including overall painting, detailing, distressing burn decor, and urethaning. Many pieces are adorned with tacks and marbles, i.e." Marbelous and Tacky," adding color, design and demension. Each unique piece is signed or carved with the craftsman's signiture.
Forbes Magazine wrote, "To picture Marsh's furniture style, imagine 19th century folk furniture imbued with the serious playfulness of Paul Klee or Henri Matisse." When I asked David to describe his style of furniture, he replied, "Create your on story."
